Their passion is so intriguing and thismovie is right up Kareena ’s street. But 3 IDIOTS is a film I have been waiting to see for over a year now. I have heard the script and I think it’s a cracker. There is a buzz in the B-town’s critics circuit that Kareena Kapoor has given her best performance so far in Karan Johar’s Kurbaan. They are so floored by Bebo’s performance that they predict Bebo will take home the best Actress awards this year.
Reveals an insider, “Kareena was told by a highly respected critic that she was loved in the film and that her performance was fantastic. In fact he even went on to say that he’s a big fan and with Kurbaan he has only become a bigger fan. He went on to wish her well and also hoped that the Numero Uno status always remains with her.”
Reveals a trade analyst, “Audiences are appreciating the film and the chemistry between Saif and Kareena is quite a highlight of the film. Kareena by the looks of it is set to sweep all the awards this year for her performance in Kurbaan. She is better in Kurbaan than she was in Jab We Met.”
Goes on to reveal the analyst, “Performance wise she is Kajol, beauty wise Aishwarya –what more can an actress ask for.”
Talking about Kareena in the film Taran Adarsh adds, “As for Kareena, KURBAAN reiterates one fact yet again. She’s the best in the business. No two opinions on that! Watch her get those emotional sequences right, it’s incredible. Here’s a performance that truly merits the highest praise and admiration, besides fetching her awards and accolades.”
"I was flattered when I heard this news," she said, "I think this is the best way to get connected to the fans and kids." The doll is a commemorative product to celebrate Barbie's 50th year.
Katrina appears to be focussing on the younger end of her fan base at the moment as she has also agreed to record an album of nursery rhymes in Hindi for A R Rahman.
With Rahman's wizardry, the simple chants she is expecting to perform could turn into something special. "Though I like taking up challenging jobs, this assignment is a bit difficult for me.
As I have never sung in Hindi before," she explained, "Singing in English would have been a bit easier, but I don't let problems bother me."

A source revealed, “The film’s team was tired of auditioning and watching show reels. None of the boys fulfilled the requirements. So, Akshay suggested that they conduct a nation-wide hunt. The participants essentially have to match Akshay’s height and body language.”
Advertisements for the contest will be announced in newspapers across the country. All the entries will be collected on December 1. Director Nikhil will select ten semifinalists, while Akshay will choose a winner out of them.
What will be Akshay’s decisive factor? The director explained, “Akshay is very keen on casting someone who comes from a real background. At 17, Akshay was a typical middle class boy; he wants some of his qualities to show in the boy who will play him inthe film.”
Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Talreja will produce the film. The film will be shot with tight schedule as it is slated to release on 2010 Diwali.

Vidya Balan, who plays Amitabh Bachchan’s mother in “Paa”, was so impressed by Abhishek’s caring behaviour towards his father during the shooting that she confesses she would like to have a son like Abhishek in real life.
“I would prefer a son like Abhishek. I have seen him with his father on the sets… he was so nice to his father that I was touched,” Vidya told reporters here Saturday.Director R. Balakrishnan’s “Paa” is an emotional story of a father-son relationship and Amitabh will be seen as Abhishek’s 13-year-old son Auro who is suffering from a rare disease progeria, that accelerates ageing. The film releases Dec 4.
“The film is all about Auro and all through the film there is a certain sensibility about Auro, but no sympathy is shown towards the 13-year-old progeric child in the film,” said Vidya. When the director approached her for the role, she wasn’t sure about playing the mother of a progeric child. “Initially, I wondered how to do the role as I didn’t have that motherly instinct. But while working on the film I realised what motherhood is,” said Vidya.
Aftab Shivdasani, who has turned producer with his just-released “Aao Wish Karein”, says he is grateful to superstar Shah Rukh Khan for having lent his voice to promote the fairytale love story.
“I was looking for a very popular voice… which people can easily recognise and could think only of Shah Rukh. He readily agreed to lend his voice and I am thankful to him for that,” Aftab told IANS.He admits that a producer’s job is more difficult than an actor’s, having experienced both sides now.
“This is my debut production, and I found that a producer’s job is tougher than that of an actor,” Aftab said.
“While doing other films I had to concentrate only on acting, but in this case I had to be multi-tasking, which became tough at times,” he added.
“Aao Wish Karein” is like a fairytale where a child’s life gets transformed after his wish to be a grown-up actually materialises, said Aftab.
“It’s a very positive story about hopes, imagination, wishes and miracles,” he added.
“‘Aao Wish Karein’ is a full-fledged entertainment which a family can enjoy together,” he said.Directed by Glenn Baretto, Aftab and Aamna Shariff play the lead roles in the film.
Another one from the Bhatt-Hashmi camp, intriguing music, a drab love-story with Mumbai flood back-drop, peppered with smooches and squabbles, Tum Mile turns out to be a below average fare.
This one is similar to director Kunal Deshmukh’s previous flick Jannat – a uni-dimensional story with two lovers succumbing to their weaknesses leading to a fall out in a so-called happy live-in relationship with ample love-making, song-singing and smooching! The story although well placed against the back-drop of the infamous Mumbai floods that led to colossal loss of life and property, is after all, average fare.
The Mumbai Flood is reduced to a mere narrative tool as good or bad as a couple of gundas abducting the heroine and getting beaten by the hero for an alls-well ending. The flood scenes are only 10 odd minutes long with no significance except for making the protagonists realize -’Why did we break up?’
Technically, the film’s cinematography is worth appreciating as Prakash Kutty bends and curves it to accentuate the emotional and visual appeal going along with the twists and turns of the story. The dialogues are well written and refreshingly crisp. Pritam’s music is chart-topping but too many songs are rather annoying.
Performance-wise, Emraan has not much to do, I’m afraid, two more movies like these and he’ll get stagnated and type-cast. Soha looks funny in intimate scenes with an expressionless face, in other scenes she essays her part well. She probably needs a makeover too!
Featuring brightly coloured saris and traditional Hindi singing and dancing with a modern twist, it will chart the story of an Indian family coping with the turbulence of a divorce.
The yet unnamed film which has the working title of Production Number 18 is the first Bollywood Movie to be set entirely in Sydney and filming is due to start later this month.
``This movie will take Sydney to Bollywood and an audience of more than one billion people,’’ Virginia Judge, Minister Assisting the Premier on the Arts, said.
Anu Sharma, head of Sydney-based film company Temple, said the production would also create almost 300 jobs including extras, cast members and crew.
