Kareena Kapoor is basking in the glory of 3 Idiots, although her role was very limited in the movie.
Kareena says, “Who says I’ve nothing to do? I’m very much part of the main drama. Would the story move forward if you remove my character?”Everywhere I go, I am swamped by compliments for the role. The length of the role didn’t matter. I’m just glad to be part of a historic happening.”
Talking about her chemistry with Aamir she says, “Everyone in one voice thinks we look good together. I think Aamir and I make a fantastic pair. I’dlove to do another film with him immediately, this time I don’t want share him with other pivotal characters.”

Starring Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia this film has been the highest grosser of the year with a collection of Rs. 75 crores. This film is a directorial debut of Prabhudeva and has Salman Khan play the character of a sharp shooter and Ayesha Takia his lady love. The film is a remake of the Tamil and Telugu hit ‘Pokiri’ and is a brilliant combo of humor, action and romance.
Love Aaj Kal
The movie is a debut of Chhote Nawab Saif Ali Khan as a producer and ranked as the second highest grosser of the year with a collection of over 66.5 crores. Starring Saif, Deepika Padukone and Brazilian model Gisele Montero, the movie has been made under the direction of Imtiaz Ali and deals with the love story of two generations and how the concept of love changed through the years.
Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani
This Rajkumar Santoshi’s directorial venture is an easy combination of light hearted comedy and hush-hush romance. Ranbir Kapoor makes an excellent pair with Katrina Kaif. Being the third highest grosser of the year, the movie’s box office collections were Rs. 63 crores and deals with the story of Prem (Ranbir), an easy-going character, who understands his responsibilities when he falls in love with Jenny (Katrina).
New York
This Kabir Khan’s project deals with the sensitive subject of terrorism and how it affects innocent people’s lives. Based on the plight of Muslims in the US after 9/11, the film tells the tale of Samir Shaikh (John Abraham) who is wrongly imprisoned and tortured for nine months, post 9/11. When he’s released, he decides to take revenge. His college friend Omar (Neil Nitin Mukesh) is forced to become a police informant and keep an eye on Sam’s activities. He gets some help from Sam’s wife Maya (Katrina Kaif). The film had cash registers ringing at the box office with a collection of Rs 55.5 crores.

Based on comedy, the maker of Golmaal series, Rohit Shetty, comes up with yet another hit in ‘All the Best’. The film stars Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu and Mugdha Godse. This multi-starrer light hearted comedy scored a collection of over 45 crores at the box office.
Besides the above mentioned flicks, there have been many other projects which rained gold at the box-office- De Dana Dan, Paa, Kaminey, and Kambakkht Ishq to name a few.

Sanjay Dutt attended the premiere of 3 Idiots to cheer for good friends Aamir Khan and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Nephew Imran Khan also came along with his fiance Avantika to cheer and wish his Mamu Aamir Khan.
With their film releasing on Christmas, Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R.Madhavan got together to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and their released flick 3 Idiots.
Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor attended the 3 Idiots launch looking splending. while Aamir wore a crisp brown suit made by designer Sabyasachi from hand-woven fabric. Kareena wore a sizzling red-color Manish Malhotra Saree. Also seen at the event were Sharman Joshi and Madhavan.
Film critics would argue that 3 Idiots brings back memories from our good old Munnabhai MBBS where a breezy light-hearted hero – Rancho (Aamir Khan) questions the ills of our rote system of education and insists that ‘Kamyab banne ke liye nahi kaabil banne ke liye pardho, kamyabi jhak maar tumhare peeche aayegi!’ and challenges the ideals of the strict dean Viru Sahastra Buddhe (Boman Irani) who is bent on bursting the hero’s bubble. The film becomes a roller coaster ride in the process while the hero also tries to woo the dean’s daughter! I’d agree to the basic similarities between the two films, and the best similarity is that 3 Idiots is just as good as Munnabhai!
The overall effect of the movie is superb. The film takes you by storm and absorbs you in the lives of adorable Rancho, Farhan and Raju who discover themselves in the process of getting an Engineering degree for themselves. Crisp and witty dialogues of Abhijaat Joshi and Raj Hirani applied to Chetan Bhagat’s suggested situations from his book Five Point Someone and of courseAamir Khan’s acting would hold tight of your senses till the end of the film. Undoubtedly, Aamir Khan outshines everyone and reigns supreme as the Best Actor!
The film has some moments which look too over-the-top, like when Mona’s (Mona Singh) non-responsive baby springs to life on the sound of Aal Izz Well mantra of Rancho and friends. But we are willing to over look that for the overall effect of the film. Performances are amazing andAamir Khan takes it away completely from the others but Boman Irani is good and so are R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi.
Special mention to Los Angeles based actor Omi Vaidya in the role of Chatur Ramalingam, who gets to deliver the funniest sequence of the film – the Teacher’s Day speech that literally made people in the theatre roll on floor with laughter!
I’d say just don’t miss this film!
Aamir Khan made 24 friends during his two-week promotional tour across the country and has invited them all to attend the premiere of his film '3 Idiots' here Wednesday.
'Wherever I went, I made friends and I have invited them. All of them will surely come to the premiere,' said Aamir told reporters at Taj Lands End here.
'There are 24 people whom I have invited personally. They are those people whom I met in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Punjab. They are my guests,' said Aamir.
During his trip, only one girl recognised Aamir through his disguise in Tamil Nadu.
'In Tamil Nadu, a girl could recognise me through my disguise and she tried convincing her parents that I was Aamir. They didn't know that my security people were standing behind them in plain clothes.
They started approaching me to confirm, but I called the security to stop them. The security people came and diverted their way, but they confirmed to the family that I was Aamir and would speak to them later,' said Aamir.
Asked if she was invited to the premiere, he said: 'No I didn't invite her because I didn't speak to her. I have only invited whom I met and made friends with.'
Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra is making all the arrangements for Aamir's special guests.
'They will stay in Taj Lands End hotel. Rooms have been booked and cars will be there at their service,' said Chopra.
Releasing Friday, the film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and also stars Kareena Kapoor and Sharman Joshi and R. Madhavan.
Aamir wasn't sure whether Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are invited for the premiere show, but Chopra confirmed their presence saying: 'I have invited them and they have confirmed that they will come.'
It is an exceptional honor for any filmmaker to get a lifetime opportunity to shoot his flick in Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of British Monarch. And this honor has been conferred to Anil Sharma and Salman Khan who shot their forthcoming ‘Veer’ in the premises of this sacred ground for British royalty.
Sources say that the stills shot within the royal palace look surreal. The setting of the palace gave a larger than life feel to the this Eros International and Vijay Galani’s production; any other location would just not have done justice to the script. 3 months prior permission was taken to shoot within the royal palace.
The permission received was an exception to the fact that the British generally do not allow any commercial activity to take place within the royal Palace.
At the press meet to unveil the first look of My Name is Khan, lead protagonists of the movie SRK and Kajol seemed color coordinated.
