Genelia D’Souza has denied the rumors about her marriage with Riteish Deshmukh. A leading tabloid had reported that Genelia will be tying the knot with Ritesh in February.

An angry Genelia says, ‘To set the record straight, I am not getting married to anyone. I have always maintained that my personal life is not something I would like to discuss. But this time since it was something that would affect my family, I decided to take a stand.’

My films and my brands are my priority as of now and I’d like to keep it that way. And if I do decide to settle down, you will hear it from me when as and when it happens.’

‘It’s rather funny that we have to read about the progress in our lives in the press before we even know it ourselves. I wonder how news like that can be put out without any confirmation from the people whose lives are being discussed.”

Genelia made her debut with Ritesh in 2003 with flop flim Tujhe Meri Kasam.

The bubbly beauty Genelia who is the darling of many youngsters has almost broken their hearts. Well, the grapevine has been making strong rounds that Genny is likely to get married this year and some even predicted that it was due to take place in the month of June.

However, relief has come for her fans when the pretty starlet has come out into the open about it. Apparently, Genny has been linked to Bollywood actor Ritiesh Deshmukh since quite a while and the paparazzi have always been on the duo’s trail to expose it.

Meanwhile, Genelia quashed all this as trash and was furious over the sources of such news. She made it clear that marriage is miles away and if something were to happen like that, she would be the first one to inform the media about it. Points taken Genny!!

There was a smooching scene in Shahid Kapoor and Genelia D’Souza starrer Chance Pe Dance, however after Shahid’s repeated requests with director Ken Ghosh the scene has been removed.

A source says, “Yes, there was a kissing scene in the film along with a love-making scene. However Shahid thought that it wouldn’t be good for his image with the kids. He also felt it would put off people from coming to the cinema hall with their kids, and he did not want that to happen. So he spoke to Ken Ghosh (the director) and insisted the scene be removed from the film. Though Ken wasn’t very keen about the idea since the shot had taken a lot of effort, he finally understood Shahid’s point of view — even Ken loved the idea of the film not having an A certificate. The scene has been removed.”

When Ken was contacted to confirm the news, he said, “My film is for teenagers, for children and for families. It’s a wholesome entertainer with humour, emotional moments and lots of fun. It’s got great music and fantastic dancing — and it’s got a U certificate. Need I say more?”

It would be good to see a movie without kissing and lovemaking scenes after a long time.
